Open the Camera Buddy app by clicking on the desktop shortcut icon.
Click the “Capture” button to analyze images in real-time. If you’re subscribed to Capture only, the Studio Batch button will bring you to a page to visit our website to learn more and purchase a license for Studio if you like.
Assign Watch Folder. This is the hot folder Camera Buddy is watching for images to Analyze. It should be the first stop the files make from your camera to your computer.
Toggle “copy images in another folder” if you would like Camera Buddy to move the analyzed images into another folder to be seen by other software.
Toggle “export detection results (.csv)" if you would like Camera Buddy to create a spreadsheet of results.
When you’re ready to start your photo session, click the “Start” button. Camera Buddy is now ready to detect glare in real-time.

No Glare Found
Glare Found
No Glasses Found
Glare found, but the detection threshold ignores itIf you get this result on images you want the glare to be detected, you need to go into the Camera Buddy Settings and adjust the detection threshold to be a higher number.
When your session is complete, press the “Stop” button.
